If this is the first time you visit my
Walk for Life I hope you check out the
various pages as to why I make the LA
Marathon every year and have been since
2002, except for three times due to health
problems.
There are thousands of people who participate and
for thousands of reasons. If you are a regular and
active participant you know that it is for Personal,
Cancer Groups and many other reasons.
Mine is for Cancer and Disabled Veterans.
Especially Vietnam Veterans who continue to die,
of Agent Orange Exposure and Homeless Vets.
If you don't support a cause or charity, I ask you
to support my Walk for Life. It's easy. If you have
the ability to donate even the smallest amount you
may have I have a page of several worthwhile
Charities and Organizations.
Even if you cannot afford to donate. Just by
reading some of the information I have displayed
on the following pages and if you find it informative
pass on the information and help make more people
aware of what I am trying to focus attention on.
One of the main Organizations I support and try
to donate to is the
VVA (Vietnam Veterans of America.
The other is DAV (Disabled American Veterans) these
Organizations do many things for Veterans and do alot
in the Agent Orange, Homeless and Crisis Help for
Suicidal and PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder).
These are areas that hit our Veterans hard and they
are doing a good job of helping fellow veterans.

Then there is the
Wounded Warriors Project which
is doing a great job in helping Veterans returning from
the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan with lots of the
problems they face at home just as the previous
Veterans from the Vietnam War did and still do.
And as a Cancer Survivor another big one on my list
is Cancer. I have two Cancers I had to deal with. My
first one diagnosed in 2001 was
Multiple Myeloma,
which I receive VA Compensation because it was of
my exposure to Agent Orange while serving in Vietnam
And in 2005 it was
Thyroid Cancer, so I try to do what
I can to raise awareness of all Cancers.
Take a little time to view these pages. There is information on
the different colors of cancers. Other Charitable Groups that are
making a big difference. And I have provided links to other sites
so that you may also become aware of so many ways to make our
World a much better one.
